Integrated Point Light Source Control and Temperature Detection Solution for Machine Vision

In machine vision imaging systems, light source stability directly impacts image acquisition quality. Based on the illumination method, camera lights are categorized into continuous and strobe modes: continuous mode supports long-term operation with lower brightness requirements, while strobe mode delivers instantaneous high brightness and higher power, making it unsuitable for prolonged use due to the risk of overheating and damage. According to supply voltage, camera lights primarily come in 24V and 5V variants; the former is commonly used for ring lights, the latter for axial (spot) lights, while 12V solutions are relatively rare. In machine vision, stable control of light sources and precise regulation of ambient temperature are critical to ensuring high-precision imaging and long-term reliable equipment operation. Traditional approaches often rely on separate modules for light control and temperature sensing, resulting in large footprint, redundant communication ports, low system integration, and an inability to meet the stringent demands of high-precision devices.

Integrated Light Control Module: Combines temperature sensing with light control and thermal compensation.

How can high-precision vision systems ensure stable, adjustable lighting while monitoring key temperature points in real time?

ASCL-0508-R Point Light Control Module delivers a highly integrated, all-in-one solution. Designed for 5V point lights, this module supports 8 independent light channels, with 4 channels capable of high-power stroboscopic operation (6W per channel). It also includes 4 built-in PT1000 temperature sensing channels covering a range of 0℃ to 120℃. Through RS232 communication, the module enables dimming control and temperature monitoring without requiring an external sensor.
